I've decided "Inbetween" is one of the best songs every written. its got it all; depth, melody, and lyrics that actually mean something and bring out the best in people. and you know what else? this would make a killer wedding song and I mean that in the best sense; it could be the new wedding anthem. I hope you know how good it is! jeff

Hi Pierre and Doatea, It's John Waylett. I attended ther small goup seminar in the summer of 2003. That was when the record heat wave went through. Around 2005/6, I came with my son to see you play Pierre at The Hughes Room, Toronto, Canada. If was great - a packed house. Will you be coming back to Canada to play? You were supposed to play in Guelph around 2007/8 but it was cancelled. I tell my wife and everyone how great you are and promote your music whenever I can. This year I attended the Canadian Fingerstyle session just North of Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Don Ross was there, as were many other fine players. However, if you came and played, the audience would have heard a whole new class of skill and creativity. Perhaps you will come next year. I know Don Ross has a very high opinion of your playing skill, unique style and great contribution to the industry, as do so many other contriubutors.

Anne

Hi Pierre, Many thanks for your wonderful concert at Die Fabrik in Frankfurt last night. Your amazing guitar playing has given me new motivation to experiment with DADGAD tuning. I was very pleased to have been one of the first to buy a signed version of your new “Vividly” CD and am listening to it all the time – it’s great. I also enjoyed our little chat and am looking forward to coming to your concert again whenever you are next in the Frankfurt area. Till then, from me and my guitar playing friends Very best regards Dick

Your concert last night in the Fabrik in Frankfurt Hi Pierre, Thanks a lot for the great concert last night. It was a genuinely memorable evening for us. I had seen you play once before some 25 years ago on a folk festival in Germany. A huge talent at the time. A real master now. The sound was excellent last night though the place a bit odd cause we couldn’t hardly see you while playing so far from the back of that cellar. It is great that you sing a couple of songs during your performance now. Although I don’t speak French, they are very beautiful and add something very special to your music. I dare say that because I love singer-songwriter music very much (Bert Jansch, John Martyn, Bruce Cockburn etc.) When you played your tune for Michael Hedges it hit me quite strongly, because I had the chance to see him play in Frankfurt twice and even had a chance to talk to him after his gig. A really nice man. It is tragic as you said. So I just felt the need to write you a few lines and wish you all the best in life. Best regards Ernest Lewinter

You have reached a beautiful new simplicity in your playing that is just riveting. Your music has an economy and brilliance that I find completely transforming and inspirational. Even the older pieces sound brand new to me. I will definitely be doing the residence again within the next few years (I think Joe will as well), but you're absolutely right... you simply would not get the full power of the experience if you stayed at a hotel. And I am so thrilled that I can finally play "Etude Salsa" (many hours of practice), but now the challenge is to STOP playing it -- it's like musical crack.

Jean Louis

Hi Pierre After hearing your playing recently, I bought a Lowden and now I can't put it down. I'm writing a new blues song. It's called "Well I woke up this morning, Still couldn't play the guitar as well as Pierre Bensusan". Maybe see you again one day Best wishes , David (used to be in Cornwall)

Dear Pierre - Thank you for accepting my friend request. I first saw you play 10 years ago here on Long Island, New York where I live. I remember telling you that if I lived another 50 years, I would hope to be half as good a guitar player as you. Your music remains an inspiration to me and always will. Best wishes and God bless! Sincerely, Jeff Curtis PS - I use the DADADE tuning exclusively as you use the DADGAD tuning.
